The Arts Juried exhibition is an extraordinary collection of the best work among members of The Arts, Hancock County. The juried show will be held at Waveland’s Ground Zero Museum from December 1-15, 2018. $1300 in cash prizes will be awarded, with results of judging announced the night of The Arts Holiday Reception on Saturday, December 1. A second hanging of this exhibition will be at Studio Waveland from January 19 – February 17, 2019.

New this year. Each Artist may submit up to 3 works, of which at least one will be selected for inclusion in the exhibition.
Please submit application and digital images of works before Nov.16th deadline. Notification of acceptance will be emailed by Nov. 26. Payment of $35 jury fee must be received before artworks will be submitted to the selection committee.
Category 1. Painting / Mixed media. Includes all 2-dimensional original artwork including painting, drawing, mixed media, encaustic, fabric. Excludes 3-dimensional work and photography / digitally manipulated images. 1stplace $200, 2ndPlace $100
Category 2. Photo/ Digital. Includes photography and digitally manipulated imagery. 1stplace $200, 2ndPlace $100
Category 3. 3 Dimensional. Vessels sculpture and assemblages in 3-dimensions. Materials includes pottery and ceramic, wood, mixed media assemblages. 1stplace $200, 2ndPlace $100
The Founders Award of $400 will be awarded for Best in Show across all categories. This sponsored prize honors the founders of The Arts, Hancock County.
Best of Show winner will be excluded from category awards. The award of prizes is the sole discretion of the show juror Turry Flucker
Second exhibition: On December 15, the show will be taken down and artwork will be kept in safe storage and then rehung for a second showing at Studio Waveland & Gallery 228 Coleman Ave. Waveland, MS. from Jan 19 – Feb 17, 2019. This second showing is an extraordinary opportunity to receive increased exposure for your work. If you do not want your work to be shown in the second exhibition you will be asked to provide an additional work in its place.

All decisions of the Juried exhibition committee and Juror are final. If you are accepted, by submitting your entry you give The Arts, Hancock County, The Ground Zero Museum and Studio Waveland & Gallery the right to publish your images for publicity purposes for the opening or as part of the art directory selected artists. All artwork must be on display and cannot be removed from the Ground Zero exhibition for the entire exhibition even if the work is sold.
