Instructor: Suzanne Deuel Findeisen grew up and lived in Ocean Springs, MS until 1990. She graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1975 and received her degree in art education and fine arts from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Her teaching career began in 1980 with the Ocean Springs School System and later took her to Capitol Hill Day School in Washington, DC. From 1985-1990, she owned and operated a retail shop in downtown Ocean Springs called, “Gumbo” This shop started the hand-stamped craze of the 80’s, and was successful on many levels. The DC move in 1990 took her back to classroom where she taught art from 1990-2007 at an independent school on Capitol Hill. During her years there, she participated in the famous Eastern Market and sold her hand-made goods which included pillows, tees plus hats and accessories. She had many side hustles that revolved around art and fashion. Suzanne’s current creation, House of FIN, is an accumulation of her love for wearable art, quality products and the ability to fuse art with fashion and home decor.
