Makerspace is a part of ARTS ALIVE 2023.

#ArtsAliveBSL is an innovative art festival, where music, art, and theater mix it up for an unforgettable experience in the historic coastal community of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Dozens of artists will show work and or demonstrate technique and share their creative process with customers at locations across The Depot Arts District.

NOTE: • MAKERSPACE is an “art happening” and not an art sale.  You may sign up students for your classes by demonstrating what they may learn, distribute business cards, have a drawing - there is a wide range of opportunities for you to promote your business or organization.

#ArtsAliveBSL will be located in the Depot Arts District and MakerSpace will occupy the BIG HALL in Bay St. Louis Community Center located on Blaize Avenue.

We will again feature a MakerSpace area with artists and non-profit organizations from across the region offering demonstrations to the community.  Selected artists and non-profit organizations are invited to participate free of charge.

MakerSpace does not require a registration fee or membership fee.    Please consider supporting The Arts, Hancock County by becoming a member.  You may join at hancockarts.org/join-us.

New for this year is that each individual artist or organization will receive a $100 stipend to offset materials costs. Every demonstrator and/or organization must offer some type of activity for kids or adults.

We have three time slots for you to choose from or you may take all three, it's up to you and where space allows - please email us and let us know what time you prefer:

10am -12noon     -      12:30-2:30pm      -       3:00pm-5:00pm

MakerSpace is a creative experience where learning takes place through hands-on activities and/or demonstrations.  Participants have the opportunity to be creative and apply learning strategies to develop their own ideas, methods, and products.  All we ask is that each demonstration engage the community in projects using simple hands-on learning experiences suitable for all ages.

PLEASE REGISTER YOUR INTEREST HERE. One of our MakerSpace Coordinators (Becky Rotundo and Emma Connolly) will contact you to schedule your location, time and complete your registration.
