Create a Personal Shrine, with Paulette Dove

Collage, Paint & Be Inspired! 
Gather in our studio to create a one of a kind personal homage, reflecting things meaningful to you. You will carefully select from a large array of words, textures, colors, memorabilia, found objects, decorative papers and patterns provided by the instructor.  All these will be artfully placed inside your box to become a sweet shrine to your life.

NOTES:
> Please bring a photo or two of yourself (or someone else) to choose from, no larger than 5"x7". Bring any small bits of personal papers you may want to include.
> Please bring a lunch and beverage!
> You will be using tacky glue, scissors and an Exacto knife (if you have these and would like to bring your own).

The instructor will provide boxes, brushes, paint and all other collage materials. 

An educator, artist, and a native of Biloxi, Paulette Dove has been painting and exhibiting on the Gulf Coast for many years, and her work has been displayed throughout the South. She is a member of the Ocean Springs Art Association, President of the South Mississippi Art League and Board member of the Mississippi Art Colony. Paulette received her BFA and M.Ed from The Mississippi University for Women and William Carey College. Her education includes Louisiana Tech University, Savannah School of Art and Bascom Center for the Visual Arts. She has taught for over 30 years in Mississippi and West Virginia, as well as serving as art educator at the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art and Walter Anderson Museum of Art. Paulette prefers to work in oils, mixed media and clay, and works currently from her Side Door Studio in Biloxi.
