Fun with Theatre & Improvisation
Students will learn theatre games and to think on their feet. They will share ideas, give constructive criticism, develop a story line while collaborating with other students. Movement, gesture and problem solving are all part of the experience as your child will gain confidence and enjoy the art of theatre and improvisation.
Appropriate for ages 8-12
Students need to dress comfortably in clothing that allows freedom of movement.

More theatre workshops for kids will be scheduled in the summer.
About Your Instructor:
Connie Voight earned her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. She taught theatre in Augusta, Georgia and Eatontown, New Jersey before moving to Huntsville, AL. In Huntsville, Connie ran the education department of Fantasy Playhouse Children's Theater for 4 years before moving on to teach at Randolph School. During her 20 years at Randolph, Connie built a nationally recognized Upper School theatre department. In addition, throughout her years at Randolph she served as the Secondary Chair of the Alabama Conference of Theatre, District Chair for the Walter Trumbauer Theatre Festival, and Alabama Chapter Director of the Alabama Educational Theatre Association. Connie has appeared in and directed over 50 community and school productions. Her former students are now working as professional stage managers, theatre professors, toy designers, professional actors, and more.
Connie and her husband, Tom, moved to Bay St. Louis in 2021 with their three crazy dogs. They have two sons, Josh, a television news Executive Producer in Atlanta, and Peter a corporate copy writer and editor in Cleveland. Connie looks forward to introducing your children to the fun and excitement of theatre.
