Make a Willow & Paper Parade Lantern for the HANDMADE PARADE

What is more fun than a parade lantern!

Using willow reeds and tissue paper, come and design your own paper lantern.  A star, a fish, a jellyfish..... you decide what you want to do (keep it simple).  

You will draw your design on paper, then measure and cut your reeds, taping and tying them into your desired 3D shape. Next comes gluing tissue paper, either plain white or colored paper, onto your structure. We will leave space for inserting battery-operated tea lights or fairy lights into our lanterns, and attach each lantern to a willowy bamboo pole for parading. Appropriate for ages 15 thru adult

Fee is $35 per person for members
$38.50 for non-members
$10 materials fee payable to the instructor on day of class

Note: A kids' lantern class is being planned as well.
