Operations Manager
Job Description
The Arts, Hancock County Operations Manager is a key role in the success of the
organization. This manager is responsible for the overall daily operations, the 405
Blaize Avenue building, as well as contributing to the forward planning for growth of the
Arts.
This full time, 35 hour per week, position is versatile in duties and flexible in hours. Typical working
hours are 9am-4:30pm; Tuesday -Saturday with occasional evening and weekend
functions.
Qualifications:
● Minimal high school diploma.
● 1-2 years of experience in an office setting.
● Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite; especially databases
● Experience with Social media expertise: Face Book and Instagram; websites.
● Possess an appreciation for the role the arts plays in a community.
Skills:
● Effective organizational skills
● Successful time management techniques
● Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
● Strong customer service focus
● Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
● Ability to maintain discretion, confidentiality, and sensitivity.
Major job duties:
● Manage daily operations in the office to include but not limited to keeping facility
clean and organized, record keeping, filing, inventory control, answering calls,
etc.
● Communicate efficiently with staff, volunteers, board members, artists, and
visitors. Follow up on all communications in a timely manner.
● Manage the membership database and organize membership drives.
● Manage all aspects of the Arts Wild Apricot web platform (website, email,
membership, monthly newsletter, etc.)
● Work closely with social media coordinator.
● Manage internship program.
● Coordinate volunteers.
● Partner with Program Director on programs and projects.
o Work with project leads as requested.
o Scheduling programs, workshops, etc.
o Set-up space for in-house programs and activities
o Create and distribute press releases.
● Grant expenditure tracking and reporting.
● Oversee/perform cash management activities, including monitoring and
reconciliation of daily cash receipts and petty cash logs.
Other duties:
● Collaborate with Board of Directors as needed.
● Support Advisory Board.
● Other duties as determined by Board.
